MSNBC.com Coughs Up Yet Another Grammar Gaffe in a Headline

Web site linked to al-Qaida backs McCain

Posting says the network would welcome a pre-elction attack on the U.S.

Let’s for a moment just completely ignore the term “pre-election” and focus on its spelling.  Yes virginia, that really is a headline with a spelling error.  See the live version here.

The error has been corrected.  The proles are starting to catch on.

MSNBC Can’t Get Grammar in Headlines Right.

Update** As of 10:18 am, the headline has been fixed.  Seems like even MSNBC couldn’t let this one slide.  Let’s pretend it wasn’t because of my e-mail to them (I couldn’t post this and just not contact them - it wouldn’t be sporting) and someone there has found their journalistic balls.  Here’s hoping.

You know you’ve truly slipped through the cracks in the employment world when you can’t get a headline on a news story - a major news story - right.

Bush: ‘Painful and lasting’ economic damage

President wants of consequences if Congress fails to pass bailout bill

What consequences does he want - cookies?  Little unicorns falling from the sky?  Who knows.  The MSNBC editors certainly don’t know - much of anything.

MSNBC.com buggers up another major story

While it may not be a spelling or grammar mistake, our major screwup today falls on a major story in which the editors failed cut and paste in kindergarten.  One of the biggest stories in the media is the failed bailout on Wall Street - perhaps a clue to the root cause of the failure lies in the sheer stupidity shown in the reportage on the subject.

Note the repeated paragraphs.  Two of them.

MSNBC gets another gold star - for sucking and not caring!
